Wolf Child
Child of wolf, and son of night
Glowing eyes are burning bright
Look at me, I'm eagle flying
In the mountains, hear me crying.
Soaring in the skies at noon,
While you're howling at the moon.
Earth and sky, and worlds apart,
Night and day, but close at heart.
Wolf and Eagle, wild and free
Spirits touching endlessly.
Will the eagle ever rest
From the heights that she knows best?
Will the wolf forsake the night,
Climb the mountain, when it's light?
Can they tame the fire inside,
Fiercely burning, endless pride.
Hear your soul speak, bend your will,
We will keep our freedom still.
In the twilight, never fear,
Neither day or night is here.
Wolf, be there, and if you do,
Eagle folds here wings for you.
Though but briefly, on the ground,
Souls are now forever bound.
